  • We had such a wonderful stay at High Holborn. The location is just perfect, the apartment is amazing and very clean. Relocabroad's staff is kind and professional. We would definitely stay at this apartment again.

  • The location is great! The flat is beautiful and perfectly situated in a private and quiet lane. Chancery Lane/Holborn tube, great pubs, restaurants are all steps away. All the great sites and museums are walkable and if needed easily accessible on the tube. I would defenitely stay here again!

About Holborn

This elegant neighborhood of Central London, located right between the bustling West End and the dynamic City, recently rebranded "Midtown", is the traditional home of the legal profession. The Inns of Court, the ancient legal centres, were located here to symbolise the law as a mediator in the power struggle between the City and Westminster. The district, once home to Charles Dickens, who vividly described it in his novels, well preserves its distinguished atmophere, expecially in its winding backstreet, rickety old pubs, quaint shops and historic churches. Strolling around its magnificent Victorian buildings and courtyards would be like travelling back in time, far away from the near hustle.

Today, the area surrounding the Inns of Court and the Temple is animated by fancy restaurants wine bars and historic hostelries. Offering an ideal central location, with easy access to London's main points of interest, excellent transport links and every kind of entertainment, Holborn has easily became a desirable and valued place to stay.

British Museum

It is one of the oldest museums in the world, founded by an Act of the Parliament, in 1753 and opened in 1759. It has accumulated a collection of over 8 milion extremely valuable objects.  It is also one of the most visited attraction in London. Its varied and exciting collections allow visitors to take a virtual tour through the most fascinating and ancient cultures of the past; Egypt, Middle East, Roman Empire, Ancient Greece and the misterious exotic civilizations of India and Africa.

The museum's focal point is the Great Court, a brilliant modern design with a vast glass roof that reveals the museum's covered courtyard. The revered Reading Room has a blue-and-gold dome and hosts temporary exhibitions. The museum is extremely vast and deserves to be visited with the right consideration. If you want to navigate the highlights of the almost 100 galleries, we recommend to join a free "eye Opener tour".

Inns of Court and Royal Courts of Justice

London's Inns of Court represent a stunning example of Gothic architecture, date back to 1300. It is here that barristers train and traditionally practice. Located conveniently adjacent to the Royal Courts of Justice, the Inns are divided up into Lincoln's Inn, Gray's Inn, Inner Temple and Middle Temple. Each Inn covers several acres and comprises of a great hall, chapel, libraries, sets of chambers and gardens. Public access is limited, although visitors can tour the grounds and gardens during the week.

The Royal Court of Justice, stand right between the Strand and Fleet Street. This stately Victorian Gothic building houses both the High Court and Court of Appeal of England and it's where the most important civil law cases are heard. It is open to the public and it's also possible to observe the process of law in any of the 88 courtrooms.

Sommerset House

This amazing Palladian Mansion, situated on the south side of the Strand, overlooking the River Thames, just east of Waterloo Bridge, was designed by Sir William Chambers and is now house to the Courtauld Gallery, displaing outstanding paintings, from Michelangelo and Botticelli to Renoir and Monet.

In the summer the fountains in the courtyards make way for cultural events, concerts and the renowned open-air cinema. During Winter the grand eighteenth-century courtyard becomes a truly stunning location for an ice ring.
